This illustration comes from a reference photo I took years ago, capturing a hare pausing under the shelter of the trees. It’s a study in quiet observation—the way a wild creature freezes, blending into its surroundings.
I used fine pen and ink work to render the soft texture of the fur, contrasting it with a stippled background to suggest the dappled light and dense atmosphere of the forest floor. A small, silent moment from the woods.
